@AlexDCl American wrestling has always distinguished between"tv cards" and "house cards," the latter being the non-televised touring shows held in arenas. House cards were often recorded by 1-2 16mm film cameras in case promoters wanted to use the footage later in a broadcast. This, to me, looks like a filmed house card rather than a match pre-dating televised wrestling. Might I be right? Wrestling was critical in the advent of household tvs in the States; was the same not true in Britain?
