That drummer was a very, very dear life-long friend of mine... actually, he was more like family. Finding this video footage of him is a huge surprise. I always knew he did a stint with Bill Haley (along with Danny and the Juniors) but never actually saw vide footage of it. I am in shock seeing this, it's so bittersweet. Sadly, cancer took him 11 years go. I love you Wayne and I'll miss you forever.

i wish people could understand the depth of Bill Haley's contribution to "rock & roll". If you listen to his early 50's country swing music, you can hear the beginnings of what he later pioneered.
The first rock 'n roll artist to go gold. The first rock 'n roll artist to tour Europe. The list goes on and on. What an amazing man.

...except at Preston Guildhall on Sunday March 18th 1979. The only Haley concert I attended was curtailed due to poor security with fans rushing the stage. Bill left the stage after barely 30 minutes.
