I am SO glad that I found this...I grew up listening to this as a child at my grandparents' house...I have looked for it and never been able to find it...I now have it to share with my kids, even if they are teenagers...I have shared many old shows with them, including the Red Skelton Show and they love it...he was a true comic genius...thanks again for the posting...

"The First Christmas Record For Children" - I still have the album! It also introduced me to Jimmy Boyd's I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, Doris Day's Here Comes Santa Claus, Gene Autry's He'll Be Coming Down The Chimney, and Rosemary Clooney's Suzy Snowflake & C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S, and a story by Captain Kangaroo called The Littlest Snowman. Happy, secure memories indeed!

Sad but true. It is now the day after Christmas and all has been forgotten about and the world returns to the cynical place it was before. Sadness still rules this planet and our lives. But like the little tree and Santa, for a brief moment, the world does give thanks and praise to the important things. I hope to never see it go but little by little it will, then that will be the end of us all. Merry Christmas not only the day after but all year around. Be sure to invite goodness/mercy always.

I grew up listening to this as generations have. This brings me back to the days where Santa was a symbol of giving as Christ gave to us, not a symbol of greed and secularism. At forty-one, it is shameful to see what political correctness has done to Christmas here in America. I pray that we will not become the Godless nation that Santa speaks of in this recording. I have been looking for this for years. Couldn't remember the name and came across it today. Brings back so many memories as a child and the real meaning of Christmas.
