@TheSheenaWellington Do you know, where is my commentary? I cannot find it again, and I think, that is not ok by YouTube.

@kugelwuerfel Both Berlioz and Bruch borrowed the ground of this movement from a very old Scottish song, called variously Hey Tuti Tatti, Marche Ecossaise and, with words by Robert Burns (who also predates Berlioz and Bruch btw), Scots Wha Hae! There is also more than a nod to Nathaniel Gow's "Caller Herrin" towards the end of the movement. I like the Scottish Fantasy and the arrangement which Bruch made of several lovely old Scots tunes.

I agree Kyung wha chung also my favorite violinist violinist but there is no debate, heifetz plays it faster and Kyung Wha Chung plays it slower doesn't make it worse they both sound amazing it's just what you prefer

不行就别硬上,,,这什么啊,拉起来一瘸一拐的,,,

Wonderful, dear Mr. Bruch (like me from Cologne) - but honorably pinched from Berlioz (Reverie et Caprice at the end). But Adolphe Adam piched the same very impertinent before for his Postillon de Lonjumeau.

@angelache98: I am sorry but apart from the fact that she is a friend of mine, I have a hard time understanding why people make this kind of comment...I think it is just unnecessary. They are all great violinists in their own right.
