On December 10, 2011 the Left Banke performed their Hit Desiree with the NYU all University Choir "Drama Cantorum". This is the first mix (rough cut) of that performance. I believe this coming year this wonderful group will emerge once more as one of the most innovative and trend setting pop groups in the world. Heres to 2012. My thanks to Orlando Ferreyia and his video team and Chase Culpon and his audio team for the sound and the videos. The future is so exciting. — in New York. — in New York.

  • Loved playing trombone and singing with them. The video looks great Ralph. It was so much fun performing with them. It sounds great :)

  • Very nice of you to say Eleah. You did very well as did the others in Cantorum. The Left Banke deserve that kind of attention and support. They are unusual and that performance was a great marriage. We will do mnore I'm sure. Hugs.... Ralph

  • I agree. But that doesn't mean that new and different things should not be tried out and enjoyed. I love these guys surrounded by youth who love their music and enjoy working with them. The Banke really were excited by the experience. Thanks so much for your thoughts. I appreciate and fully agree with your comments.

  • Absolutely breathtaking. My favorite band accompanied by a choir of angels. Magic exists!

  • Dad, you've done it again! The choir sounds rich, the Banke are in top form and the arrangement

is YOU! You've always wanted to do this song justice and I see it as the tip of the iceberg for the Banke's future direction! Bravo, my daddy!!!!

  • They are an amazing band and I'm blown away. Great magic here!!!

  • Great! I have been the trombonist on covers of this in the past. Mike fornatale on lead vox coulda been louder, but that is a small point. Bravo to this influential band.

  • Tambourine needs more woood!

  • Surely the start of a rich new chapter in the LB story and their music that transcends generations. I'm sure you guys are excited at the possibilities opening up once again, but not as excited as the fans across the world! Hope to see you touring again, and really intrigued to hear new stuff that you've got up your sleeves. Everything comes full circle, and this proves that, in spite of the crap that makes up most of the music business, YOU CAN'T KEEP GOOD MUSIC AND GOOD MUSICIANS DOWN!

  • Damn, that was gorgeous. Pack up the choir and take it on the road!

  • APPLAUSE APPLAUSE. The experienced in collaboration with the aspiring...I fully support this legendary band in all their explorations anew...this performance ignites the power of innovation. Thanks, Left Banke!

  • Agree. This is a treatment of the song that really complements and fits the Left Banke style of beautiful music. Yet it is a different approach, and a fresh ingenious take, on a familiar classic.
