This is my favorite of all your videos (so far). The overdrive tutorial is priceless. Thanks so much.

thank you very much for this demo, exactly what I was looking for. Want to play duophon on synth since 2 years now and I'm near to get it. :) Try to plug a rectangle LFO to the Filter of the low Voice. That should do some nice sequencing Effect. Keep going, brother!!

Cool setup. I wish I could afford one of those :P
I hate to be a party pooper, but I don't think it counts as "duophonic" unless your two patches interact somehow. What you've got there looks like two separate monosynths. IT wounds great.
Try hard-synchinc the upper patch to the lower one. The melody will automatically equal-temper in the key of the bass note and it sounds cool.

Possibly, but I expect it would be tricky and probably impractical. What needs to happen for any additional voice is for an additional control-voltage (CV) to be generated. The DotCom keyboard will generate up to 2 control-voltages. In theory, you could have two MIDI-interface modules, each of which would generate a single CV-out, but in practice I don't know exactly how you'd manage to send the proper key-press MIDI events to the correct MIDI interface module...

Is this duophonic patching possible with a basic midi keyboard?
Neat trick!
Using this with two (or more) Pulse Waves gives an interesting 'knocking' effect when you adjust the individual pulse widths.
Thanks for the video.

Great video. Does the overdrive occur before or after the filter?

Before. The output signal from the mixer is split (using a Y-adapter). Half the signal is sent to the filter, the other half is routed back into the mixer, and then adjusted to taste for overdrive level. I believe it's feeding back of a portion of the signal that accounts for the overdrive...

I'm sorry, but please get over your cold before you make your next video.. Great video, but i now feel ill.

hmm... I don't believe I had a cold. I broke my nose hang-gliding many years ago (actually it was the *landing* not the gliding that broke my nose). Ever since then I only have to speak a few words and anyone within hearing becomes deathly ill. It is an awesome power that I try very hard to use responsibly...
