The Daleks have a new weapon- Bilingualism!
I translated this myself and added the subtitles (5 years of German finally comes in handy!!). Because I did it myself though, it's probably useless- but enjoy nonetheless!!

Yes, I did spell otherwise wrong in the video but I'm too lazy to change it...

  • i read somewhere that the german for exterminate isn't extermineran (or what ever they said) is this not true, or is it true and you just said exterminate anyway.

  • @bakura23 Yeah, "exterminieren" isn't actually a German verb, I think the producers just used it so that non-German speakers would understand it. In any case, it sounds better than using a real verb like "vernichten"

  • I love how foreigners in fiction may speak English perfectly. But always shift to saying "yes" in their native language..

"ja", "da", "si" or "oui"...never just "YES"

  • I mean the actors still have an accent (of course they do), but they really tried to get the sounds right, that give English native speakers a hard time in German.

    Esp. the -ch sounds.

Valda Aviks (the old german lady) is from the pure quality of sounds very close to native speakers. But you know every language does have a certain rhythm, how you stress syllables, word boundaries etc. and that's the part where you can really hear, she's not a native speaker. But for a TV production stil good
