Custom-made motorized blinds

Kadence Systems' MBC - I Series controllers are designed to automate operation of Window Blinds and Curtains in large facilities. Up to 64 windows are controlled via RS-232 Interface to an AMX Controller or through a Master Switch. The MBC I series features simplicity of operation, high availability, and cost effectiveness. Ease of use is designed in, with smooth and precise opening and closing of the Blinds and Curtains managed by solid state relays and onboard microprocessor. Ease of Operation: With the flip of a switch all Blinds / Curtains are lowered or raised automatically. For full automation, the Controller also features an RS-232 interface to an AMX Controller (or to a PC) which can position each window covering individually and precisely as desired. Reliability: Several custom features, including electronic control of motor, reed/magnetic sensors for accurate and reliable position monitoring, sprockets and metal bead chain control for non-slip operation of the Blinds/Curtains, solid state limit sensors to change the motor movement direction, and software timeouts for motor-on time control are some of the salient features of the MBC-I. Each diode protected Relay controlling the motor power is energized by a diode protected reed relay, for extra reliability. Scalability: The flexible architecture of MBC I series lends itself to automote from 8-windows to 64-windows in a seamless manner. This feature is particularly useful when interfacing the MBC I to an AMX controller or to a PC.
