In week 1, the Panthers shocked the world by beating the Chargers in San Diego on the very last play.

With 2 seconds in the game, Jake Delhomme threw a 13 yard pass in the back of the endzone to tight end Dante Rosario for the victory.

Here is that play, according to Tecmo Super Bowl. The call used is by the Panthers radio crew, I'm not sure who they are off-hand.

  • awesome vid but those carolina commentators were horrible.

  • I would've used the Fox call, but Stockton's version was just awful.

  • very nice...can you recreate steve smith hitting his teammate in the nose???

  • LOL

  • it was 26 to 25

  • Actually, it was 26-24. You can look it up.

  • lol the panthers defnitely were better that year...

  • yeh i guess u forget in 2004 when goings had 6 straight 100 yard running games. and was an underrated reciever outta tha backfield, but the point is carolina won and thats all that matters, i was just saying its typical for delhomme to just say fuck it and throw it into coverage even, when there's a guy wide open unerneath coverage

  • its weird cuz i know rosario i go t othe school he used to go to and r family's r really good friends

  • somebody please tell me how he got the updated rosters on tecmo super bowl 2

  • ur right he's not a good player. But i just seen on that play while watching that game last year he was wide open and soon as jake threw it i was like holy shit!!. but they won so i guess it doesnt matter they got tha W

  • yeah he had his moment of greatest where he still averaged under 4 yards a carry that year. since then it's been some untimely fumbles and overall lack of talent and athleticism..

he's got heart but he's far from a good player..

  • That person "wide open" was Goings. Thank God he threw it to Rosario.

  • Drew Brees woulda just got the easy throw to the goaline that would have been Reggie Bush to win it

  • lol did anybyd see that guy wide open basically at the goaline.. typical jake delhomme.lol

  • haha nice. do you think you can do a 2009 season sim? like you did with the greatest teams?

  • lol now this is next-gen graphics!
