Often giving up your child is a gift when you cannot give it decent life, much less a good one that other families can.
The sex standards seem a little high but I am out of practice in talking girls out their standards. I was pretty good at it in my day.

As they say, adoption for some is a perminent solution to a temporary problem, the thing is, perhaps she, and perhaps other women like Ivana who married the Trump guy would have been better off, at least in their hearts, rather than believing that someone would see their act of ripping out their own hearts for the sake of others more than a selfish act. Perhaps the children feel this way, perhaps as in the film "the island" the biological parents were products to be thrown away.

There is always a problem of perspective, and there was a couple who gave their children away, got cheques in advance for their trouble, and managed to repopulate the world with about 4 -6 children. It was a scam when they happened to get some money and then run away with the child they had made arrangments to adopt, step in the next girl, she got absolutely no compinsation, but for those adopted parents, the act of aquiring a child was actually all about how much they could afford to spend...
