Early this morning, nearly a million New Yorkers were stunned by the appearance of a "special edition" New York Post blaring headlines that their city could face deadly heat waves, extreme flooding, and other lethal effects of global warming within the next few decades. The most alarming thing about it: the news came from an official City report. "WE'RE SCREWED",

  • the world is flat, the sun revolves around the earth, and climate change isnt man made

  • @MrCMC99 said: "in the 1500's antarctica was discovered with no ice!"

Given that the Antarctic continental mass was only discovered in 1820 (by Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen) and that ice-cores from the continent can be shown to have deposts from more than 400,000 yrs ago, I find your claim unconvincing.

Therefore why should I trust anything you say, when you are so way off the mark with this one?

  • How can the Post guy tell that the cyclist is an environmentalist? Perhaps all people who wear ugly neckties are jackasses? His comments are funny sad. Perhaps environmentalists should have allowed the O3 to deplete right out of the stratosphere so that this gentleman would not be able to stand out in the street for more than 3 minutes without his DNA being altered. Or we could have allowed acid rain to kill our forests, or particulates to cause an asthma epidemic in our kids... oh wait.

  • @acidgawd999 Kiss my ass, bitch.

  • @wiz9496

In other words reality doesn't matter to you. Very well, have fun with your lunacy dipshit.

  • @acidgawd999 Do you think I'm going to listen to some leftwing nutjobs defend some other nutjobs? That's why I don't believe anything you have to say.

  • @wiz9496

In other words you have no source to back up your claim or you do have a source but you know that your source lacks credibility.

I am not an environmentalist you dumb cunt.

  • @acidgawd999 I guess it all depends on where you get your facts. We'll find out who's right in the future.

By the way, did you know that computers are environmentally unfriendly? Your activity on the internet is harmful to the planet. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @wiz9496

No time machine is necessary to look up facts.

"2009 was tied for the second warmest year in the modern record, a new NASA analysis of global surface temperature shows."--NASA

"January 2000 to December 2009 was the warmest decade on record."--NASA

"In the last 35 years of global warming, the sun has shown a slight cooling trend. Sun and climate have been going in opposite directions."

If you have information contrary to these basic facts CITE YOUR FUCKING SOURCE.

  • @acidgawd999 Did you take a time machine to get here? The planet has been cooling for the last three years, and it's expected to do so for years to come. The reason is solar activity, or more precisely, a lack of solar activity. The Antarctic ice sheet is growing, which would explain the lack of sea level rise.

As for the "Climategate" emails, you must admit that it is likely the folks at East Anglia were trying to deceive us.

  • @wiz9496

Not to mention that if sea level rises more than the extremely conservative half a meter figure given by the IPCC antarctic ice could be floated from it's moorings.

I probably also shouldn't mention that the last time that temperatures were 3 degrees Celsius warmer than they are now that sea level was 5 meters higher.

Mums the word about climate sensitivity being 3 degrees Celsius.
