Another cover of the excelent band Dimmu Borgir, this song is called Spellbound by the devil as you should know by now ;)
About the recording process:
This time, I got hold of a nicer recording device (not that el-cheapo webcam used on my other videos) but still quality isn't that great since my PC doesnt seem to support large video files (specially when editing them with Movie maker and Adobe premiere pro)....
First, since I didn't want to be playing over the real song, I had to tab drums, bass and synths on Guitar pro 5 (Keyboardists: I made a pretty accurate tab - music sheet, feel free to ask for it)... then record drums and bass as a midi (I wish I had Drumkits from hell® software.... and know how to use it....) to a track in Cool edit pro, then I used Cubaze- Hypersonic to transform the synth midi into a more decent sounding track, and then sent it to a another track in Cool edit pro....
Then I recorded first guitar (In 2 different videos as you might noticed) with the videocam I got hold of, at the same time I was recording the guitar sound right to the PC via a BOSS - GT8 Guitar effects processor, using my ALLMIGHTY YAMAHA EG112 (using ""custom"" 2 years old - Rusty strings;)...), and so I did with the second guitar .... So at this time I had 4 video tracks, and 4 audio tracks, wich later I had to synch in Adobe Premiere Pro (wich I didn't do that well because my PC was getting slow and running out of memory....)
After that, I recorded the video of me doing vocals at the same time I was recording audio track in Cool Edit Pro, wich later I had to synch too... one take, so I kinda lost tempo in some parts but I thought it was good overall ;)
Finally I doubled some vocal parts (as I heard on the original track) and added a li'l touch of reverb to it so it doesn't sound as a El-Cheapo® PC Mic (wich it is...)
Sorry for the cheap video's fade in's and fade out's but seems like BLACK COLOR for movie maker and Adobe Premiere doesnt mean the same... so thats why it looks like small black squares come and go...
Video and sound quality at this point was nice!!!!, then I realized the video was like 1.2 Gb and had to save it as a WMV file in movie maker after I added titles (went from 1.2Gb to 46.0 Mb just like that), and there's when audio quality went right to hell (hopefuly it's still stereo)...yet still, not that bad to delete the file.... Or so I thought...
P.S. I Hate video editing, specially in slow PC's
Feel free to comment, rate and ask whatever you might want...
OH, thanks to DEATHMETALMANIAC1988 for uploading his guitar cover (wich I used as a tutorial to learn guitar parts ;B)... I didn't even bother to search for tabs online since I knew 99.999% for sure they will suck....
Cheers!!!
