No fancy titles or excuses, only playing this time. :)

Drums are Pearl Sensitone Elite Steel 14"x6,5" snare, Tama Granstar 24" kick, 12", 16" and 14" toms (from my left to right, i reversed the floor toms cause I like to play tom beats on the bigger one and it's easier this way). Mics are Rode NT-5 overheads, AKG D112 in kick drum and Sennheiser e604 on snare. Heads are Remo Emperor/Ambassador on toms, Amb/Amb on snare and Powerstroke3/Amd on kick. Cymbals are this and that, you'll find the specs in my other videos, they haven't changed in a long time.

This clip was, in addition to my usual drumming idols, slightly inspired by Thomas Pridgen's this year MD festival performance, which you'll find on drummerworld. (Thomas is quite incredible btw)

  • What Ride cymbal is that? It's got a brilliant tone to it, nice and warm...

  • @metalmaster126 Sabian HHX 21" groove ride

  • Your posture could be a lot better.

  • @Qldroarfan94 True, I'm actually kinda surprised I don't have bad back problems because I sit all day at work and then spend most of my spare-time by sitting next to a computer or a drum set.

  • how do you tune your toms? sound great

  • @guitarnick914 Batter head pretty low, resonant head little tighter to control the sustain. Usually I just tune them up and down until they sound good when I hit them both hard and soft.

  • i could rub one out to that snare

  • @bradycorcoran Thanks for the comment! I have to say that there are no betters in music. It's about expressing yourself and doing your own thing in your own style. That's not something you can measure on a linear scale. There are so many little things that can make someone like a certain musician more than the other, that in the end there are only opinions. No absolutes. Speed is the only thing you can measure and speed alone is nothing. :)
