During this presentation I will give a short overview of what elements constitute Cognitive Neuroscience and how thinking might occur. I postulate that the current way of looking at the problems is insufficient to solve the major challenges. We need to build bridges to integrate various viewpoints and AI can help with that. This 15 minute presentation was originally intended for High School students in the Netherlands. Part 1 of 2.

  • 1) nicotine technically isn't a neurotransmitter but it acts upon receptors.

    2) I meant to say Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) not Cardio ... but hey if your heart stops enough and the heartcells don't die first so you can make it pump again you might be able to get damage to broca's area. Unlikely, but still.

  • AGREE with everyone below, you seem good at what you do but

    your media person = FAIL

  • bad quality video....next time hold a mic on ur collar, man

  • Hi bud. Nice videos but poor sound due to camera distance. Have either a wireless mic or a pocket audio recorder you can synch later (with a sound cue) with the video in your editing software. You'll see this time and again: the brain will readily accept (and fill in) a poor video that otherwise has quality sound. Yet most people can't watch a quality film if it has a poor soundtrack, because too much concentration is required. Incidentally, a possible good topic for a neuroscience documentary.
