@mrtruthify I too hate Wolf Blitzer but not for the same reasons as you. I think that he is near incompetent and an illustration of the worst type of American news reporter; who presents a phony aura of 'gravitas' to mask his media-whore instincts and use stories of human suffering as a commodity to make money...what does him being Jewish have to do with this? Please consider this question rhetorical and spare me more anti-semetic rants.

@xaviqaz Because in the face of the German onslaught; and the prospective of his troops making a grab for Western Europe the Allies turned a blind eye on the Soviet partial invasion of Poland, immoral as that may have been and threw themselves into a desperate struggle against the establishment of the Thousand Year Reich; an illustration of 'real-politics' under extreme circumstances.

Buchanan's view is a clueless view and a view I may add that places him very close to being a fascist sympathiser. You would have heard things like this from Joseph Kennedy in the 1930s. The truth is that a dark, violent right wing nationalism had taken hold in Europe- in the 30s-a genuine threat to the world. An evil psychic plague. This foolish man is saying that Britain should not have stood up to Hitler in '39 when he invaded Poland. So the war was our fault! Only a Fascist could argue thus

@null98Jeff Since when US waits until threat becomes IMMEDIATE? On the other hand I assure you that hypnotized UK politicians, would be happy to see axis sorting out bolshevicks (given that Poland collaborated). Next step UK. The only problem of German plan was that enemies accumulated on the both sides at the same time. This could have been avoided and after successful campaign in Europe, attack on US might have been better coordinated with Japan. So yeah - not immediate but viable.

@charliefasurf1000 Hey genius, if FDR didn't turn back shiploads of Jewish refugees and had accepted them in the US, the butchery would've been smaller; you can find that out in the US; it's documented. As for German plans to invade America, they couldn' get across the channel to the UK. Then you start saying I'm denying genocide. I did no such thing, I was commenting on the fact Germany, regardless of plans was't an IMMEDIATE military threat being unable to cross without sufficient Naval Force.
