Con un crono final de 55h0447, el ruso Vladimir Chagin (Kamaz) se adjudica la victoria final del Dakar 2010 en la categoría camiones, con 1h1308 de ventaja sobre su compañero de equipo y compatriota Firdaus Kabirov (Kamaz) y de 10h4320 sobre el holandés Marcel Van Vliet (Ginaf) El Zar rubrica así su 6ª victoria en el Dakar, tras 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 y 2006 e iguala, por tanto, el récord del checo Karel Loprais de victorias generales en la prueba. Es más, con sus 9 nuevas victorias de especial, Chagin ostenta ahora el récord absoluto de victorias en la prueba, al sumar 56, una más de las que posee el francés Stéphane Peterhansel 9 victorias de especial en esta 32ª edición que permiten también al ruso hacerse con el récord de número de especiales de camión ganadas en una misma edición. Por último, la victoria de Chagin se convierte también en la 9ª de Kamaz en el Dakar, que logra un nuevo récord: el equipo ruso se ha adjudicado todas las especiales de esta 32ª edición.

With a final time of 55h0447, Russias Vladimir Chagin (Kamaz) wins the 2010 Dakar in the truck category, 1h1308 ahead of his teammate and countryman Firdaus Kabirov (Kamaz) and 10h4320 ahead of Dutchman Marcel Van Vliet (Ginaf)... The "Tsar" gets his sixth victory in a Dakar after winnint the 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 editions and catches up with Czech driver Karel Loprais in terms of final victory records. Additional cherry on the cake, with 9 new stage victories this year in special stages, Chagin becomes the absolute stage victory record holder in the Dakar with a total of 56 stages won, i.e. one more than French driver Stéphane Peterhansel... 9 stage victories in this 32nd edition that allow the Russian to also establish a record of number of truck stage victories in the same edition of a Dakar. Finally, this victory by Chagin is also the ninth victory of Kamaz in a Dakar, another record; the team from Tatarstan has - by the way - also won ALL the special stages of this 32nd edition.
