  • What a handsome early Wurlitzer! The Astatic pickup sounds great. You just gotta love it. Wurlitzers ad,"Americas favorite nickels worth of fun" sure meant your machine! Your talking machine on top is a beauty too!

  • @JukeJointHop Thanks, I am glad you liked it. I have another addition to my collection arriving in July, it is a very nice 1080A. Regards Marcel

  • Hi Marcel -

I have a 1936 Wurlitzer 412 which has a rounded top -- it is a prototype that never went into production. It is made from solid mahagony. It was the only one ever made by Wurlitzer as they were experimenting at the time with more rounded shapes for their cabinets.

It plays 12 78's and sounds excellent.

Very reliable mechanism and beautiful to watch. A great piece of Americana. I use an Astatic 51 cartridge.

Great sound. Simple looking & beautiful..

  • Hi, I would like to see a picture of that one. I am using the same cartridge on mine. I just had the amp done up and the speaker rebuilt, now it sound even better. Regards Marcel

  • Not only is this my favorite song of all time,I wrote Jo Stafford a letter telling her so.She sent me an autographed picture about ten years ago. This is the most amazing juke box.thank you so much for posting this.

  • Hi, I am glad you likes it, I have quite a few Jo Stafford records when I get some time I will load more on YouTube. Regards Marcel

  • simply wonderful! I've only seen one of these in person in working order. You have a wonderful machine there!!!! Thanks for the post..

  • Would love to hear a 1935 - 1940 record on this jukebox!

  • Sappire Needles Were Introduced In 1938,But Not Used In Jukeboxes Until About 1948.

  • Wish I could enlarge the picture so I could see up close and personal with the juke box.

    Brings back memories!!
