  • whats so good about it?? pretty much a red dot or a holographic sight? anyone please?

  • @ vvelazquez89

    seriously?

It is a down to business sight made by one of the finest optics manufacturers .. what is not to like?

  • only question is what kind of burn time can you get b4 your batteries die. unfortinatly there website said nothing about battery life so its prolly either really good or really bad.

  • @ dp665

I suspect if it was real good they would be bragging ..

  • Hmmm, my post seems to have dissapeared so I'll ask again. Is this sight like the russain PK-AS with an etched reticle?

  • @ twistcut

    not sure

  • Seems like a screw-switch would be alot easier to manipulate...

  • says 1X meaning one times magnification.

  • I've had mine for about two years now. It has seen very little use, and has already had to go back to the factory once, and needs to again for the same issue (interior black dust appears in the field of view). Battery life is a joke-- only a few hours. The circle plex reticle is distracting, so I'll probably have them change it to a different one while it is there in the shop.

  • could you mount a trippler to coincide with this sight?? I love the reticle, depending on the battery life I'm going to buy one after my next deployment!

  • @PortlandOriginal There is truth to the battery life issue. The illumination system is external though, and I'm hoping that Leupold or a 3rd party will offer some type of upgrade there. Eye relief is no more of a con than on a scope or with a magnifier on a RDS. I keep my prismatic w/ no illumination at all, and keep it on a FTS mount to cowitness with a fiber/tritium reflex. In conditions that the reflex washes out, is the exact conditions suitable for a black etched reticle.

  • @ohthejoyslick holographic still uses a battery, and are usually quite inefficient.

  • Is this optic holographic at all? Does not require a battery?

  • I have one on a M4 and I`m real happy with it. Under most conditions the illumination is not even needed. Not being battery dependent is a huge plus for me.

  • what makes a prismatic scope "prismatic"?

  • @vvelazquez89 Its a true 1x optic with an etched reticle. If the batteries go dead, you still have the black etched reticle available. The etched reticle simply can't wash out like fiber/tritium or an LED with low batteries. It is also built like a tank. 14mm lens, but a 30mm OD tube = lots of metal. Cowitness one of these with a tritium/fiber reflex sight for a self-adapting reticle that will work in ALL lighting conditions, with optional LED illumination too!

  • They don't advertise the battery life, because it is horrible. A few reviews have claimed battery life in the single digit hours. And having eye relief in a 1x optic is a huge CON.

I wanted one, but the cons outweigh its usefulness.

  • @vvelazquez89

It's great because it acts just like a red dot, but requires no batteries.
