  • @repalmore Thanks. The load on each blade without hitting something is just under 1300 pounds but there is 3.74 sq in of material at the root and NiBrAl is tough stuff. I think the weak link is the 6 bolts that hole it to the 2.5" shaft which inters the hub. I'm looking casting it as single piece but it requires me to build a bigger furnace. I also don't like the idea of dissimilar metals due to hardened stainless bolts.

  • Great video on what you did. Just eyeballing the base blade point, I'd be a little worried about that being a week point. Though I have never worked with props much less brass outside of bushings, it just looks like a week point. Hope some one that really knows more about this can take a look and comment. Best of luck.
