if your talking about Charles Bukowski I think maybe your interpretatioin a little off, your impression is yours, thats fine, but it doesnt really reflect Bukowski....or Henry Chinaski.

Doesn't subscribe to anything? Your lights are one, but your lights are dim. Let met guess. You're 18 and you just recently discovered Post Office?  Bukowski had a strong moral code and much strength. Saying he subscribed to nothing is just an idiotic thing to say.

i watched this movie today and i noticed charles bukowski sitting at the bar when henry meets wanda, he gives henry a weird look as if to say, who the fuck do you think you are!
