I always hear people brag about how Macs are virus free, but if Apple does eventually have a good deal of the market share don't you think people will start writing viruses for them. It silly to think writing a virus for a Mac is impossible. In my opinion its just that so few people actually use them by comparison to the majority its not worth someones time to create a virus for it. Just a thought, but I guess we will find out if it happens.

why always talking about pc's getting viruses? there are pop up blockers, alerts or warnings... cant they see that?

I switched from windows to mac and i love my mac! it is fantastic, but i completely agree that when apple does get a significant share of the market, they will come out with viruses for them.

Ive had a pc since windows 95 came out and i never had a problem with a virus. I also do alot of downloading so its only idiots that allow viruses to get onto the pc and let them destroy there computer.

@MacMan6294 The real truth is that your comment didn't really make complete sense - a Mac IS a PC, or a type of one that seems to completely rename itself - but, by definition it IS one. Essentially, it is branded in the perfect way, with advertisements like such above, literally confusing those with a lesser understanding as to how PCs function. ALL Pcs have the problems of Viruses, spyware, phishing attack, etc.. ALL of them, that includes the Mac. I could go on, but I'd rather not waste time.

Bought a mac, put windows on it and after a while i discoverd i barely used osx because non of my programs i really need works on it. Plus the fact that for that one virus a year that hits my windows, i'm not willing to pay too much again.
