What gearbox did you use for this engine as i bought my escort with the engine conversion already done and apparently its got a 1.8 gti gearbox in.

@ashleyuk2007 mine used a 1.6 zetec, your 1.8 is perfectly fine, up to about 200bhp

It was going to be Aston Martin Morning Frost White. (Blue peal white with a metallic) : ) as for taking it somewhere else i wouldnt have been able to afford it as this company were doing it cheap for me as we use them all the time where i work. but the boss had some sort of break down and stopped almost all his work, not just my car, id have been looking at silly numbers to finish it off. This car was built on a budget, i dont earn tons so learnt to do it all myself. gutted but time to move on
