Demo of Independence Radio and the transition between songs. Transition is around 3:00.

Used a camera because fraps and other recorders make the game chugg.
Orange text's up top are Riva Tuner statistics and the bottom stat (which is barely visable) is an fps reading. I got anywhere from 25 to 45fps with the settings being:
Textures: Medium
Rendering: High
Shadows: 2
clipping for all three defs: 20

Looks great for that setting, even without AA. As far as graphics go, I noticed a few shadow glitches but the game seems to be rock solid for me, but (just like 90 percent of the complaints already) quite chuggy in the fps area.
Needed to have the videocard drivers in a default state to run without lost textures. RSSC is having problems atm also. Patches are to be on the way, but it's a buggy start to GTA4 PC.

  • thank you :) but why didnt u use the normal video editor in gta?

  • Because the video editor pre-renders frames. Wanted to show how the performance was in real-time as it wasn't great when the game first premiered on the PC.

  • nice dude thx ,do u have an idea if i can press a button to go forward 2 the other song because it says i can but it doesnt work?!

  • Doesn't for me either :|?

  • Thinking about it, It may have something to do with how Independence FM is setup. Can't remember directly, but there are three settings; a song to song setting <which might be what is needed, and two others that include the fade out/fade in with the radio announcer making the song transition (this video).

  • some1 knows how 2 put my own mp3s in game?

  • C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\User Music

You don't have to copy mp3's either - shortcuts work perfectly!

When you get into the game go to Audio and somewhere in there is an option to do a quick scan. Scan it and you should be done :D
