The New iPhone OS 3.0 SDK - Peer to Peer Networking

This is part of Apple's keynote on March 17, 2009 regarding the release of the new iPhone/iPod Touch($9.99) operating system: iPhone OS 3.0. This is only one of many new features to come to the iPhone in the summer of 2009.

The iPhone and iPod touch will have the capability to communicate with each other through a bluetooth connection allowing for multiple possibilities ranging from multiplayer gaming to file sharing. A nice feature is that iPod touch users do not need a Wi-fi network for the p2p to work.

i mean i have an ipod touch but my brother doesn't they are expensive! But how does this help iphone uses who have internet connection for most of the time on 3G?

However i think its great that they are finnally unlocking bluetooth, now i can use my ipod to play with friends without a internet connection.
