@thecarolinamudcat They did a excelent job "updating" Tuesday that way! And I noted they were more cohesive as a rock n roll band since the first tour with Moraz. Moraz was a good influence being a really professional player or the Moodies got matured as musicians? Anyway, some songs had a improvement in concerts but some not (ex: "twilight Time" lost that incredible spectral aura and become bubblegum!).

Saw this same show in Canberra here in Oz in 1984......
This music is beyond compare - just love this band.....
Sad to see the years passing us all by!!

@CaptainQueue the more you listen to Hayward, the more you realize that John Lennon just pissed away years of his life with walrus Oko.
Justin is still incredible.

This is a more rockin' version of the song, & I like it. Not only that, but I think that Ray Thomas can play that flute as good as Ian Anderson.
Moodys like so many other 60-70s bands represented real musicianship, originality and passion. Equally fine musicians were groups like Doobies, Eagles, Fleetwood M, CSNY, Deep Purple, Doors, and incredible individuals like Elton John, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Hendrix and others who could PLAY AND vocalize.
With a few exceptions, most of today's pop musicians are singers only. A sad commentary and trend.

Justin Hayward is tremendous! There are few like him, then or now. The music is ethereal and haunting. I had the privilege of growing up with them. Just great!
