a nemi story episoe nine [double the trouble]

sitting at home, demi's phone rings.

demi: *looks at the caller id and answers* sel?
selena: demi!! finally!!! why haven't you been answering me?!
demi: i dont feel like talking...
selena: i know demi, but you have to hear him out at least. he deserves that much, right?
demi: well, i guess i could if you think so...
selena: you dont even have to do anything, i can set it all up.
demi: okay...
selena: be ready for him to come over for three, okay?
demi: okay...
selena: bye! love you! *hangs up*

demi sighs and desides to prepare herself by taking a shower while selena sets things up.

selena: *phones joe* joe!!
joe: hey, sel. whats up?
selena: can you get nick to come over to demi's at three?
joe: i can try.. he's pretty upset.
selena: why? its demi who shoul be upset..
joe: no, sel, you dont get it. demi ran off on him & miley found out and dumped him...
selena: oh, god. poor nick.
joe: i know... it's like double the trouble, he's getting attacked from two sides... will she be gentle at least?
selena: i can try my best to convince her to be
joe: okay, thanks, ill send him over.

at three, nick arrives at demi's, looking terribly upset and knocks on her door. demi timidly lets him in and the two sit in the living room.

demi: umm...
nick: im sorry, demi! please dont hate me!
demi: i dont hate you... i just dont understand...
nick: i tried to break up with miley, i really did, she just made it so hard..
demi: understandably...
nick: we're really over, i promise.
demi: ...swear?
nick: YES!
demi: okay... just let me think bout it for a bit, okay?
nick: demi, just know... that it was so hard to finally get up the courage to ask you out.
demi: *smiles* thanks nick
nick: *hugs demi*
demi: *hugs him back, putting her head on his shoulder*
nick: *pulls away and gets up* okay, thank you demi... can i make it up to you friday night? our first... official date, being... official?
demi: *smiles* yes
