Bystanders try to save an unconscious man on subway tracks before the train comes into the station. This segment was taken from Episode 301H, a 30-minute episode, which aired on September 17, 1991 on CBS. This particular version of the segment was taken from a 30-minute syndicated episode, so small parts of it may have been cut out to make room for commercials.

Vote for Rescue 911 to be released on DVD at http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/showinfo.cfm?showID=3531 and to be put back on television at http://www.petitiononline.com/res911/petition.html

  • Some time ago I saw this show on Tv It was not this show but waht happend a person I guess triped on a train track and lost a couple of his limbs WOAH scary!!!

  • I think that was Impact: Stories of Survival. Are you talking about the one where the guy lost his left hand and his whole right arm (or possibly the other way around), so they took his right hand from his severed arm and transplanted it onto his left arm?

  • By the way, he was lucky it happened in New York instead of Chicago. Had it happened in Chicago, he more than likely would not be alive today, as more than likely nobody would have even looked over their shoulder, let alone tried to save him.

  • Think New Yorkers are cold? Residents of Chicago's collar counties/suburbs are many thousands of times worse; and in many areas of Chicago's collar county area, there is totally no friendliness at all, meaning there are literally no friendly or helpful people living in those areas.

  • He's 'heavy' b/c they're not lifting him right. They need to use their entire body weights to life the guy, not just their arms.

  • He must be a visiting resident, transplanted from somewhere else to New York City.

I'm surprised as many people helped as there were in this segment.

The New Yorker has perfected the idea of not getting involved in what you don't know and brought it to an art form.

  • I wouldn't be afraid of rats for pete's sake!!! I would be afrain PERIOD. Being trapped? claustrophobia has never been my problem...but after that I would be afraid of ALL small spaces.

  • has anyone seen the house episode "Larger than life" well the opening resembles this episode a woman falls on a traintrack?

  • You know those men are heros

  • did he live or die?

  • @joshguy64 I know, thats how I fell off a ladder and landed on my head in 2001!
