Hi Folks, Thank you David (laughter1099)!! The pipes arrived and are excellent. We bought them from http://virtualsmokinglounge.com/ I highly recommend checking out the site. You can find nifty pipes and accessories. There is a Paronelli Rustic that is nice and you can also find the Savinelli 2005 Collection Pipe of the Year. Very choice. When we get the tobaccos from http://www.boswellpipes.com/ that we ordered we are going to do a vid about breaking them in. Thanks again David!

  • I have seen some Flying Dutchman online, but I have heard that it is not the same blend.

  • Hi:

I smoked Flying Dutchman back in the 60's, the reproduction FD blend that I got at my tobacconist is the same as the original. All the Best, The Count

  • So, it is a good blend, the new FD? I have really wanted to try it. Thanks

  • @Chakotaysmack - Hi: I still smoke it 47 years later!!! All the Best, The Count

  • Love the new pipes!

  • Thanks - have yet to break 'em in but when we do we'll post the vid. Best regards - Tim

  • I am a fairly new pipe smoker and have started collecting. I am having a blast with it. Thank you so much for these videos, they are as imformative as they are fun to watch.

  • I wish David still had his pipe business going. I purchased some of my first pipes from him. I hope all is well with him

    Jon

  • you guys should smoke weed, tobacco is a pretty boring plant.

  • What did you and Dan decide was the best blend for breaking in a new pipe?

  • what is this nice music in the background?

  • I have learned so much from you guys.

  • Howdeedoo Count? Do you remember this line? "I'd buy that for a dollar!" Nice lookin pipes.

  • Hi PipemanAustria, Thank you for the suggestion. I will deffinately give them a try. Some of those tobaccos can really get "juicy" and I see how the filter could come in handy. Best regards - Tim

  • i can just suggest filters because they cool the smoke and make it also dryer best for aromatics

try vauen activated carbon filters they are great

  • Thanks! With pipes that sweet it was a pleasure!

  • great vid thanks for doing it guys!

  • Hi Eric, Thank you for the compliments. There is a good chance that more Gris Gris related vids will be on the way! Best regards, The Pipephreaks

  • Excellent video Gentlemen! I surfed over from PipefriendCHS's recent video to investigate Gris Gris.

Nice pipes. and will add Majestic to my next Boswell order. Looking forward to your thoughts on it in the interim. Thanks for a great video.

  • Hi David: Many thanks for the super service, and the compliments. The pipes are off the charts, you have excellent tase, as confimed by the comments from the Pipe Smoking Fraternity so far. My son and I are looking foward to seeing your latest vids and website posts. Hats Off to a True Gentleman, All the Best, The Count

  • I removed the below comment due to a typo on my part...all is good.

  • Hi guys, another enjoyable video! I love the father/son teamwork! It was my pleasure to get those pipes to you; I look forward to serving you in the future. I'm also very grateful for the positive review and feedback. Keep up the great work!

  • Hi: I smoke Dunhills, but don't mention this as I don't want to "High-hat" the community. Perique is not going to dry out enough to be useful in breaking in a pipe, much less a super premium pipe like a Dunhill. If you watched my 1;00AM VIDEO I say "You can ruin a good pipe vey fast". Moist burning tobaccos are death to the new briar in the heel of a pipe, the heel may never entirely "cake" properly. Go with an all natual, slightly dry, mild tobacco. Best of Luck, The Count

  • Hi Count

Thanks for the quick reply, I have been rubbing out the Escudo & letting it dry a bit before loading/smoking.

Need to try out some of the Boswell blends

    Thanks - Brian
