It can't be that hard to increase the police presence in the metro system, just seeing cops would prevent most thiefs from trying anything.

Why is the number to call Metro 10 digits? Why can't they have a three-digit number like 911 or *77 like you see on highways to call the State Police?

How about Metro Police spend less time performing unconstitutional (and ineffective) random bag searches on its criminals - oops, I meant passengers - and more time combating the real criminals who are comitting real crimes within the system.
