If the congress is afraid of one thing about BJP, it is Narendra Modi. The congress and media deride him as "dictatorial in functioning", "Merchant of death", non-inclusive, throw aspersions on the actual development in Gujarat and at every possible occasion try to put him down as a communal and unelectable. Did the same media focus so much on Rajiv Gandhi after the Sikh riots? Of course not. Modi may be a lightning rod for most, but he is probably the only answer for a BJP success in 2013.
