Pike 15,5 kg (www.fiskefilmer.com)

Back in september 1993, on our first trip with a videocamera, we caught a VERY big pike! 15,5 kg, and its all on film! This was the first big fish we ever caught, so no wonder we are a little bit nervous if we could make it and get the fish onboard the boat...

We apologize for the killing of the fish, but this video was made way back in 1993, and none of us had heard about catch and release regarding pikes then. I assure you that for the last 10-12 years, we have released all our pikes back into the water.

1993...You did't have a digital video camera back then! Are u sayin u've encoding analog video? Well resolution wud be less? Pro camera?

Yes, this was recorded with a cheap analog camera, and encoded to digital format. Did some noise reduction and color correction as well, to make it look better. :)

dette var ei kjempe fin gjedde det må jeg bare gratulere med. hvor lang var denne fine gjedda den må ha vært skikkelig lang, jeg tok en på 13,5 kilo nå for noen dager siden. den var 127cm og helt tom i magen.

uannsett lykke til med gjeddefiskingen i sommer til alle ivrige fiskere.

Though I do release most of my catches myself too, I don`t understand why are you so worried about peoples thoughts of killing a fish. Even pike is eatable.

Man släpper ju inte tillbaka gäddor som man får upp, bara att döda dom direkt eftersom dom läkar upp alla annan fisk, bland annat ädelfisk som är mycket roligare att fånga och mycket mycket mer godare att äta..

not sure this is accurate haha, found an okld leksikon with freshwater fish. it says the biggest pikes seen was up to 2.5 meters ling weighing 35 kilos.. thats a whale...omg :D
