Before the law

this parable by kafka was important to me for two reasons
one its very Jewish, and two when i first read the trial when i was 18 it made a lot sense it changed me. i too was standing at the door waiting. and not crossing out of fear . although we can cross it anytime we don't out of fear.
the law being the metaphor for that thing we want out of life .
