A Hillside farm animal investigation showing how the often forgotten parent birds are treated behind the closed doors of the poultry breeding industry. This company alone, P D Hook, boast of producing 5 million eggs every week. The film shows the reality behind the statistic.

  • thank you hillside, sharing this video x

  • Are there not any other 'bodies' with legal powers to remove mistreated animals? Who actually decides when an ''offence'' is committed? is it a vet or some pompous cleric?

No wonder there are ''free the chickens'' raids...

  • what the hell DOES the RSPCA actually do these days?

  • I am Hillside supporter and I admire people like Wendy Valentine and staff at Hillside for all they do to help these wretched animals. This is so extremely shameful and all of us should be ashamed to allow this kind of cruelty to go on and especially RSPCA who turn a blind eye and let this cruelty to persist. Thank you Hillside for helping these animals, you are my heroes. At times like these I am truly ashamed to be part of 'human race'. Shame on RSPCA!!!

  • RSPCA need to have a body that they need to answer to, they currently seem to pick and choose what they will deal with and that means many other animals pain and suffering is ignored. If they thinkis is ok for animals to be kept in their own faeces for 20 weeks then maybe they should do the same for a while.

  • Thank God for Hillside..The RSPCA is a disgrace and should be replaced with an organisation that will do the best for Animals..Lets face it calling it Royal Society is a joke as the Royal Family love nothing better than to Hunt,Shoot.Fish and wear Fur.

  • Conditions are obviously wretched for these birds. I cannot understand why the RSPCA found nothing wrong. The lack of feathers on the birds and burns to their skin say it all...
