*end of school*

Sel: *walking down the path out of school*

Demi: *bumps into her* oh sorry *sees Selena*

Sel: *Doesnt look up but bends down to pick up her phone* its fine, my fault *straightens up and sees Demi*

Demi: *half-smiles at her* hi...

Sel: *shoves her bag further onto her back before answering* hi.

Demi: *pauses for a second, uncomfortable in the moment* Im sorry about what happened...

Sel: *shrugs* my phone will be fine.

Demi: *pulls a face at her* im not talking about your phone and you know it.

Sel: *smiles gently* i know, just thought Id get my revenge on you while i had the chance.

Demi: *giggles slightly* so... youre not THAT pissed with me?

Sel: *shakes her head* if i can forgive Nick, i can forgive you, ok? *holds her arms out to her*

Demi: *smiles before stepping into them and hugging Sel tightly* thanks Sel. I just wish Joe could have the same attitude...

Sel: *pulls away from the embrace, watching Demis face not saying a word*

Demi: *sees Sels face* I know that you guys kissed, im not an idiot.

Sel: *her words rushed* it wasnt me, i swear!

Demi: *smiles softly* no, i know. I investigated a bit and found that Joe pounced on you, so no worries.

Sel: Im sorry, Dems.

Demi: *Shrugs, smiling* at least were back together. I was so worried Id lost you forever.

Sel: girl, you couldnt get rid of me even if you wanted to. We may have arguments but Ill always come crawling back to you someday.

Demi: me, too *holds her arm out for her* shall we?

Sel: *laughs as she slides her arm through hers* we shall.

Demi: *Drags her off down the road, laughing and skipping*

*next day*

Joe: *sat outside the school on one of the benches*

Sel: *walks round the corner laughing, arms linked with Demi*

Joe: *looks up and watches her pass him without realising. He sighed before looking down*

Demi: *sees Joe watching Selena out of the corner of her eye and fights back the pain*

Sel: *notices Demis not paying attention* you ok?

Demi: *looks up at Sel* yeah, im fine. So whats going on between you and Nick?

Sel: *shrugs* nothing *tries to hide the heartbreak with a joke* the dude doesnt want me anymore so i guess theres no hope for any chick in this world.

Demi: *laughs* Dramatic! I like it.

Sel: eh, the usual *sits down on the wall, looking around*

Demi: *sees through Sels defensive wall. She jumps up and joins her* so what did he do?

Sel: *doesnt look at her* he just talked to me. He wants me to date other guys, not him.

Demi: *her mouth drops open* what an idiot! Did he even say why?

Sel: *shrugs, still avoiding eye contact* he said something about him not controlling my life but its obvious he just doesnt like me, anymore. I dont get why some guys cant seem to say whats on their minds.

Demi: *looks up* me either. Joe cant seem to ever show what he wants or thinks or even feels. Like, i always had a suspicion he liked you since we broke up... but i didnt think hed do something. Sounds weird but its true.

Sel: Im sorry, Demi. I guess both our lives are pretty screwed up, huh?

Demi: *smiles at her* yeah, i guess. But who says we cant enjoy the good bits?

Sel: *confused* the good bits?

Demi: *laughs* come on *jumps off the wall, pulling Sel down and grabbing her hand* lets go embarrass ourselves for the sake of it*

Sel: *laughs while allowing Demi spin her around*

Nick: *walking up the path and sees Selena and Demi holding hands and laughing. He smiles as he watches Sel*
