I'm in New Zealand and planning for a physiological 3rd stage (natural / non-managed delivery of the placenta). I think I'd be worried if they were going to give me a jab of Syntocinon without asking my permission first. "If I feel a little jab" I think I'd be quite annoyed. I want to avoid early cord clamping, so thanks for letting me know that if they feel the cord is too short they might want to clamp it early.
