Sweet. Thanks for this post. Maria just gets better, too. Twenty years later, she's twenty years more soulful.
Rest in peace, Fritz.

==if you've never heard the studio version, it's one of the sultriest things on vinyl==
totally accurate. The first Muldaur song I ever heard. And it made me a lifelong fan, even tho I misheard an early lyric.
She sings "and a shot of good booze." I heard it as "And a shiny caboose."

@tintosangre ....yes the studio version is the best....

It's a treat to hear this, but if you've never heard the studio version, it's one of the sultriest things on vinyl. And the sweet ghost of Mississippi John Hurt floats over the whole thing...

Sounds great this blues, a gifted singer she is.

THANKS, Taylor--for posting this! Great to see and hear them. I wondered about the Kweskin members and there was some history of an odd cult in Boston begun by one of the members who had the realization he was god. Apparently someone else with that self-appointed title once tried to make it up to their tower redoubt but did not usurp in that attempt. Shame they stopped doing music but their loss was maybe Dan Hicks' gain... Best2All

Oh man, the way Maria sings this song is HOTTTT!
Date seems off to me. Seems like late 70's no? 78 perhaps?

No, the date is right. It rained the entire weekend, and precious little of the tape has survived. I think that I may even have the program book from that festival.
