Thats Good to Know God gives me power to share Jesus with others.

Parent Corner After gloriously rising from the grave, one of the last things Jesus said to His disciples was, I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world (Matt. 28:18-20). This Great Commission is summarized in Mark 16:15: Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world.

This is a hefty challenge. But Jesus didnt expect His disciples to share the good news in their own strength. On the contrary, He sent His Holy Spirit to empower them to share His truth.

Encourage your kids to rely on the Holy Spirit to help them share Gods Word with their families and friends.

One of the greatest fears kids this age face is looking foolish in front of their friends. By helping them realize that the Holy Spirit is with them, ready and able to give them the words to say, they will discover a new boldness to share Gods Word with those who dont know Him. They will discover the truth of todays, Thats Good To Know: God gives me power to share Jesus with others.

Remember that the same truth applies to you and your children. God has given you the power to share Jesus- not only with your kids, but with people everywhere. You dont have to do this in your own strength, simply hoping that someone will get it. Trust God to empower you. Trust God to move among your children!
