Hi welcome to another Tutorial for Sony Vegas Pro 8 and Sony Vegas Pro 10.
Both functions and buttons are similar but for this tutorial i did it in 10.
I use both programs actually 10 i make the effectsand render and 8 i do the actual work. So really no difference other than 10 having a few more plugins and the keyframing is located in a new spot called animate.

I had several people ask me how i made the rain and stuff so i decided to provide you free downloads of them.

This is just a short and basic tutorial, I'll show you how to use the Light Rain and Heavy Rain effects and also how to use the Sound Fx of Rain and Thunder.
You will mainly use compostion mode with Add and Overlay on your clips.
I also show a few effects with cookie cutter, Adding Glow, Brightness and Contrast, and Zooming in with Event Pan/Crop.

how do u cut cips short again ?

@MaGgzproductions cut them short? like cut them in general press "s" on anywhere on a clip you want cut out.

Oh yeah and one more thing... do you know if vegas pro lets you mask gaps? I know you can mask the outside but what about gaps? Do you know any solution of solving this problem?

@happyanimepeace gaps? like empty parts after your done masking somethin els. usually what i do is i mask what i need first. then i make a duplicate of the same clip put it above the same clip in a new track and then remask that clip on anything i missed. i think i undestand lol

Hello! I was wondering if you help me about masking fast moving videos, how can I mask fast moving videos without having to worry about those extra unmasked places showing up in my final product of the video after rendering. I mean, I don't see it in the vegas pro when I am editing the video and yet I see it in my finished product after rendering and it really frustrates me. Have you ever had this same problem? Is there a way to get that crisp clean look after masking your video?

@happyanimepeace i know what you mean i run into that sometimes and it can feel so fustrating and makes me feel like throwing my computer out the window lol. masking is really somethin that takes patience. because to be honest if u want to mask fast moving clips you really have to make sure all the keypoints you make are exactly the same. sometimes i take a photosnap of each frame that makes the entire clip and then mask it i have a tutorial on doing it.

Verry, verry good tutorial! You explain everything in detail wich is more important than tutorial himself cause the people have to understand this and in the future learn how to do this effect allone.
