  • I don't understand all this negativity. Who wants to see the same type of video over and over and what speaks to one doesn't have to speak to another. It's gross to see these judgmental, bully type comments on a IGB video about bullying. You are all part of the problem with your nasty tones and higher than though attitude. They took time out of their day to support a cause, a cause they have done a lot for thru the years. In fact they just did a GLSEN PSA. Check out GLSEN's YouTube page.

  • Yeah, newsflash: this is a project about bullying being experienced by LGBT kids. Leaving the words gay, lesbian, transgender, bi, etc. out adds to the culture of invisibility that makes queers feel like we have no place at the table. Maybe you could re-record this and make it more to the point.

  • lmao! wow... i thought it was lagging cuz i wasnt watching screen just listening and i look up and its done. i lol'd cuz it was freaking hilarious. brilliant, quick & to the point. love it!

  • Wow. I'm so moved. An insanely brief little recording of two hetero-celebrities who claim that it gets better, without any explanation as to why or how or who. They also forgot to mention the point of the project.

  • @takatakatang

It's irrelevant because the two celebrities don't even refer to LGBT teens. By their actions, these two people tacitly condone the idea that being gay is something that is "so bad we can't even mention it by name". Lots of people are scared of being friends with gay people because they're worried that "other people will think they're gay": this is the same thing - they can't even bring themselves to say the words. It's sending exactly the wrong message.

  • @amylNRG just to see people they admire acknowledging their suffering is enough to help. True, not 100% of LGBT teens will watch this video. But I don't see how that makes it irrelevant.

Also, if you think about how many adults who admire these two will watch this video, and how Kyra and Kevin are contributing to adults' recognition of LGBT bullying in high schools, many of whom are parents themselves or even educators....

  • Oh yeah, great way to get people to make videos about the It's gets better project- criticize and dislike them. Are you fucking idiots? Anyone who makes a video for this project needs to be applauded, period.

  • Love it. They are so cute and always trying to help everyone. I don't care what anyone says, they are amazing people. :D

  • In all honesty, I think it's a little sad that all people have to complain about is the fact they don't say who exactly who. Everyone knows what the It's Gets Better Project is about, the fact that they took the time to put out a video for the cause is amazing. If yo have an entire movement dedicated to you at least have the decency not to bash it because it's not up to your standards. The program itself is directed towards the LGBT community, they shouldn't beat it like a dead horse in the vid.

  • Utter waste of time video. Why even bother?
