I was invited to a wedding and a reception last week. So this vlog is going to be about attending to a Japanese wedding and other etiquette that you should know/ trivia of Japanese weddings.

I would love to know how things are different in your culture or countries, or if you have any funny stories, memorable events at the weddings, please share those stories in the comment sections:)

  • I couldn't stop laughing ! HAHAHA Your hair is brilliant! Well, I also could understand what you said, I swear! It was hard, but I did! XD

  • @Titulinhavolcom12345 hehe, Thanks for trying your best to understand XD

  • When I was in Canada a few years ago, I attended a wedding of far relatives(actually on the party afterwards only). It was at the beach in a huge tent with hundreds of guests. As far as I remember no one brought any gifts except for close friends and family and the whole wedding was paid by the parents of the bride. That's the first wedding I attended. The second one was of my cousin from the Netherlands. There weren't that many guests(~90) and the wedding was paid by both families.

  • @mattsn23 Very interesting about how their parents take care of it. I heard that honeymoons are taken care of by their parents as well?

  • Midwest US:Wedding is in the church and the bride & groom wear the same wedding clothes all day.On average, weddings cost about$7-10,000(including flowers decorations, reception, etc.) My wedding dress was about $2,500& the veil had bead work on the edges so it was about $2,000(married in2007).Guests usually bring presents for the couple's home(plus $10-$50),but ppl who bring just money usually bring about $100. The reception is usually a quiet formal dinner & then a big dance party afterwards.

  • I live in the U.S. but I am Vietnamese so my family does western style but with some Vietnamese traditions. We also do the money thing as gift and the thing with the highest position person making a speech.
