I'd never heard of him before; found him on youtube trying to hear some Steingraebers. He is an amazing pianist. He reminds me a bit of Arrau with his deep tone and unbridled passion. This is Liszt as serious music, which is how it should be played. But Arrau never had this level of technical mastery. I wish him the best and hope that he becomes better known.
Just heard this performed live at the 3/28/09 concert at the University of Maine, If you think hearing this youtube is great, you should hear him play it in person.

I attended this remarkable recital last year
but what made it all the more emotional and unimaginable is that the Father of this amazing pianist had passed away sadly just a few days before
and the pianist on stage was in tears and grief and almost cancelled this appearance but announced that he would play in his memory nonetheless.
The funeral was held apparently the next day. It was very moving and unforgettable.
