I always laughed at this song's chorus when I heard it as a kid. It made me think of some guy trying to mug some big soccer mom, and getting a huge beat down in return. Only now do I understand the connotations of the lyrics, which makes it quite a poignant rock ballad.

when I hear this old music I remember how the world felt in my young eyes.....now it feels like something I don't want to see anymore. Its all attitudes of dominance, working harder for less, no chance of ever moving upward, corporate takeover, materialism equals your worth, sexuality as a weapon but thats ok. Its OK because I changed myself and stopped the cycle of what this culture conditioned me to do.
