Sorry so late replying, I dont see how i missed this question.. Anyway, I am playing this whole thing (aside from the little intro i play) through a talkbox, its all just a Clav patch with the sound being shaped by my mouth

Nice cover version.

I suspected Billy Preston used a talk box with the clavinet on the record, just as you are doing here. All the live clips of him playing Outta Space don't show him using talk box.
