April 5th, 2007 - I hope this 'end of set with credits' video gives you a feel of a great night of live jazz, in a packed house, at a trip to Vaughan's in New Orleans. It was a rare treat for this out of towner to see a New Orleans' legend, Kermit Ruffins, live on stage at the famed Vaughan's.
Kermit has played a Vaughan's every Thursday for 15 years in this 'Bywater' neighborhood district Ninth Ward jazz dive - a rustic stereotype of what a great jazz club should be - full of character, characters, and great good time jazz.
If you get a chance to see this show don't miss it when you are down in the Big Easy. Definitely worth the very short trip away from Bourbon St and about mile east of the French Quarter.
