"McCain was Unsure on How to Deal w/the Economic Problems that we were having. Almost everyday there was a different approach to the problem and that concerned me, sensing that he didn't have the complete grasp of the economic problems we were having and I don't believe Palin is ready to be President of the United States."
Colin Powell's comments and analysis of the Powel Endorsement
Frankly, this was the last chance for the McCain camp to say something they hadn't already said. What I as a voter — a conservative one, I might add — wanted to hear from John McCain, is how he would be independent and change Washington politics. I didn't hear it throughout the campaign, and I didn't hear it then. I didn't vote for Obama, but McCain didn't give me a reason to vote for him. The main problem with the GOP is that they selected McCain, when there were far more viable candidates.
