@tiyenin Saying B minor over D (written Bm/D) is just another shorthand for B minor 1st inversion. Lead sheets and chord charts use this notation, as it doesn't require extensive knowledge of musical theory, just tells you which note to play.

Love it! :D I've been wanting to get myself a keyboard for AGES (primarily wanted a piano but don't have the space and money! Love the sound of it). How many keys does your keyboard have?! I been looking around and I don't want to be restricted to 40 odd keys. Think there's a 60 something key one too or 80 something. The more keys the better but obv the more expensive. Looking for something reasonable.

"B minor over a D"? Isn't that called a "B minor 1st inversion"? It's not like it's a different base chord; the bass is just the 3rd instead of the tonic. If the bass was an F#, it'd be "B minor 2nd inversion". Bass a B? "B minor root". YW.
