Mountain Bike Nevada is a Mountain Bike ride across the state of Nevada from Cal-Neva Hotel & Casino on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, on the border of California and Nevada. The 11 day mountain bike ride starts there, and ends on the Utah - Nevada State Line in Border Town on Highway 50.
11 Days
533 miles
38,000 ft of climbing.

This video is day 1 and 2
The first day started at Cal-Neva on the North shore of Lake Tahoe at the California - Nevada border. Then we rode east to Tunnel Creek road, and across The Great Flume Trail to Marlette Lake. Then we climbed up to Hobart Lake, then over the Carson Range, and down to Washoe Lake State Park for our first day.
Our second day left Washoe Lake State Park, and we rode up and over McCllean Peak, then down to Virginia City. We then rode down 6 Mile Canyon to the Carson River, and down to Ft. Churchill.
I will have about 5 or 6 videos to connect the state from end to end. So, this is 1 of 5 or 6.

  • I just bought a felt niner and I live in Reno! I would love to join a club like this but don't think I could hang and wouldn't wanna hold anyone up.

  • @1369jeejee The nice thing about this ride is that it truly is a "Ride", and not a race. You find the people that match your ability, and you end up riding with them at the speed that you can ride at. We had a 78yr old rider and a 68 yr old rider that completed the ride. So, I am sure you can do it as well. It was a fantastic ride.

  • Paul, nothing better than John's Flamenco guitar. Nothing!

  • @GreatBasinBicycles, Wow! I'm sure the contact list is on your site right?

  • Rich, metal. 100's of miles across NV requires some metal, not flamenco guitar....
