my hard drive makes 2 different noises but it usually sounds normal one noise sounds similar to a couple u played but to me it sounds like a drill sorta and the other sounds like a squeak

strange thing is that I used to fix harddrives that made the sounds......memories, I'm talking things like western digital 5 and 10MB hardrives, way back then. most were BER, some could be recovered, those sounds are very real and very I was there!!!

My hard drive just died :( no joke I got it replaced on January an got a 750gb hdd and died in 4 months

If you never turn of your computer and have a 7200 rpm drive, those disks are turning 3.8 billion times a year. It's amazing that they last so long.
