Track 2 from 'The Deal'. Gavin's idea for the video and we just scrabbled it together as best we could. My favourite track since the Sutherland Brothers and Quiver days, so appreciation for allowing me to upload it. The words and music are simply great, just sorry I could not quite get my video player to play ball on perfect syncronisation. To Gavin, Happy Special 60th Birthday for next week and many thanks for making great music for over 40 years.

  • @FAIRGOLD - Jeez, brandy is not a drink to take in excess, but agree what a talented songwriting family.

  • @kinavian74 I REMEMBER WHISPERING BOB HARRIS TELLING THE TALE PRIOR TO THE SUTHS PERFORMING CHANGE THE WIND ( I THINK) I FEEL MIXED EMOTIONS MAY BE AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL, ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE HE IS A VERY PRIVATE PERSON NOW - WHAT A TALENT-. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE THE SUTHS (+ QUIVER ) MANY TIMES IN SHEFFIELD. MY MOST VIVID RE-COLLECTION BEING WHEN THEY SUPPORTED LYNRYD SKYNRD. IAN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SET STATED HE HAD BEEN SUFFERING A SAW THRIOAT BUT HAD CONSUMED A BOTTLE OF BRANDY SO HE WAS OK.

  • @FAIRGOLD - I certainly BOW to your family knowledge, just wish someone would post a video of them in that early 70's era, the Slipstream stuff on that STV video is my least favourite of their albums. It is the only vinyl album I did not replace on CD. Cheers, Steve

  • @kinavian74 I remember sutherland brothers on ogwt - it co-incided with ians wedding day i believe?

  • @albainbridge1 - I can just picture the wonderful veranda scene Al. You know we have a mini heatwave here too, started Tuesday and to last until Sunday, what a difference it makes to feel warm all day long. That's why I love the Algarve and you should take a look around and feel blessed where you live. Thanks for the comment, this track has been just waiting to be found by old SB+Q fans, when I say old, you know what I mean ! lol Enjoy those beers my friend, best wishes always, Steve
