Palo Alto High Students Respond to Larry King Shooting

Palo Alto High School students urge their peers to take action in response to the February 12 school shooting of 15-year-old Oxnard, CA student Lawrence "Larry" King, who was perceived to be gay. Some of these students are members of GSA, and some are performers in the Palo Alto High production of "The Laramie Project."

Proud to say I went to Palo Alto High fifteen years ago. These kids are articulate, intelligent, and thoughtful. I'm really moved by this.

@Hottielvr no it does not. i think homosexuality is wrong but i would never hate a gay person nor would i ever wish death on a gay person. i love all man kind but be for real everyone is not going to have the same views. you can do what you want and be who you want, but dont make me feel bad b/c we dont think the same. i love american soldiers but i dont support the war? does that mean i hate american soldiers, no i just hate the war. so dont think for one second that im being homophobis.

It is a serious tragedy what happened with Larry King,and my heart goes out to his entire family.I also know that I am not the entire world,but for what it is worth,hatred,nor homophobia exist within me.I am accepting.Your work does make a world of difference,and I hope that it continues on and on without an end.Hate needs to be brought down,and Love needs to be preached.

I got goosebumps from watching this video. Larrys death is really sad. Why can't people just mind their business. If he wants to be gay let him be gay. If you don't agree with it then keep it to yourself. You don't need to go around killing a person b/c of who they are. I

We had discriminated people against their race, gender, disabilities, which seems wrong to us now. Hopefully, the same mistakes we made before will not be made again. Don't make people's lives any harsher than they are already.
